When we renovated the swimming pool of the Winter Circus in 1997 for my new show " Crescend O ", we were after the most professional companies in every sector. We tested the Aqua Musique loud speakers and were immediatly enthousiastic about their reliability and the sound quality throught water.
We work in difficult conditions in that swimmers and frog-men have to hear the music even when the horse is galoping in the water, in the middle of sprays or pressurized water special effects. In our constant search for quality, Aqua Musique really met our expectations.»

Deronne, you are assistant Manager of THALASSA DINARD. How do you use Aqua
Musique?
Here, Aqua Musique is used as a single form of treatment called “pool relaxation”. Any person undergoing treatment may benefit as such if a doctor prescribes it. I read an article called “The Sea of Sleep”. This package is a specific package created in 1990 to deal with sleeping problems, hence the title.
Any one choosing this formula systematically have a session of pool relaxation, sophrologie for one hour and water massage bath with essential oils every day for six days. The relaxation pool forms the centrepiece for this package. Thanks to the system of floating mattresses, which has greatly progressed, the patients cannot sink. They are quite at ease from the moment they try it.
You have just used the term centrepiece for the treatment of SEA OF SLEEP, how have you integrated Aqua Musique within your daily treatment?
We have two sessions: one in the morning and one at the end of the afternoon. Relaxation in the pool lasts 25 minutes. We receive 16 people a day undergoing this therapy out of an average of 100, which is quite high and sufficient for a centre of our size.
- How satisfied are your clients?
We give out questionnaires. The patients indicate whether they are very satisfied, satisfied or dissatisfied. As far as Aqua Musique is concerned, 68% of patients claim to be very satisfied which is a very high score.
Those discovering Aqua Musique for the first time, do they experience any sensation as such?
It’s not immediate. The first session is what I will call an “introduction to pool relaxation”, the patient has to get a feel about floating, how to hold his head in the right position, and learn to relax. In my opinion, the right sensations come with the third session.
- What has Aqua Musique brought you?
Quite simply the ability to propose a reliable relaxation treatment in a pool. In seawater therapy it is a formula that merits its reputation. Take the example of sophrologie which is a great treatment, but it is out of water. Here, people come above all for the seawater, so relaxing in the pool is a perfectly adapted form of treatment that fits in well with seawater therapy.

Albert Goldman. You are the medical manager of the seawater therapy centre of
BIOVIMER. How do you use Aqua Musique?
We offer Aqua Musique to people who want to experience the whole range of treatments offered by the centre. We also recommend it to very anxious people as well as to those who do not wish to do any physical activity. In the latter case, they are stretched out in the water, weightless, and they enjoy this very much.
If their medical files indicate a fear of water, the inability to swim or ear problems, we do not recommend this treatment. If we were to deal with them individually, I am sure we would have very good results. But this is not possible in the limits of a short-term course of treatment. In our establishment, Aqua Musique now figures on our treatment list as one of the anti-stress cures.
What has Aqua-Musique brought to the way you operate medically?
I would say Aqua Musique provides a real plus in terms of the prescription of treatment. People who come to BIOVIMER already know the seawater therapy and are always keen for a new product. With Aqua Musique, we can offer them this added extra in terms of sensations. Furthermore we have decorated the pool house in order to create an imaginary heaven… a dark blue sky with little lights!
- What conclusive results have you observed?
Muscular relaxation and better sleep. However, it is difficult to attribute these results just to aqua relaxation. This treatment is never proposed as a physical activity such as keep-fit. It is always integrated into the whole range of seawater treatments.
During a six days course, there are four different treatments a day: one in a bath, one mud application, some physical exercise and one water jet treatment. In a way, Aqua Musique is considered as physical training. People benefit from water transformed into music.
- Can you tell us an anecdote?

One of the people only wanted to try it, whereas the other person was greatly stressed and had serious muscular contractions. Both moved simultaneously. We have also seen people fall asleep with just the end of their noses sticking out of the water.
- Is the use of Aqua Musique expanding in your centre?
I think so… In fact I don’t just think so, I’m quite sure.

As such, I have developed the sport-health department with a gym, adapted keep fit classes, stretching, light gym and principally aqua gym in spa water which Aqua Musique makes a valuable contribution to. This enables people to wind down after physical effort.

The people who try it are a whole satisfied, particularly those with psychological problems, who are stressed or who need rest, elderly people and pregnant women.

Aqua Musique had enabled us to propose an original product. In a word, something different from our competitors. We are moving towards a clientele that is in need of greater rest. Aqua Musique treatment is totally relaxing. We notice a great number of people who fall asleep during the session. Especially with the new mats you have supplied us. People float with no fear. Once in a cosy position, they focus on themselves to achieve a greater relaxation.

I am totally satisfied. I have personally had a rich experience. We had a lady attending a health and fitness course. She had hearing problems.
I introduced her to Aqua Musique and she realized she could hear under water! It was a most emotional discovery for her. She really appreciated us having this equipment in our centre. She has since contacted a club in Paris that offers Aqua Musique.
I am convinced that Aqua Musique is a real plus product. Even if everybody is not directly concerned, they may one day enjoy the benefits. A pregnant woman for example could be interested.
We are convinced that once installed on her mat, in a right state of mind, the child she carries will perceive just as well all that is going under water. I think that we are moving away from sport just for fitness sake, as relaxation is just as much important for a non-sporty person as for a sporty one.

install sub aquatic loudspeakers AQUA-MUSIQUE?
“Our company built private swimming pools with a high requirement for result. Indeed, our customers ask for automatic and reliable systems of water treatment, but their real requirement is for a place of leisure and relaxation.
Sportive swimming pool is out of date. Our customers want to have fun in their swimming pool. The sub aquatic sound system is part of this new philosophy, as well as the design and the choice of material. This is a plus we are able to offer so the pool becomes a real pleasure.”
